Changing Lives, One Session at a Time

Individual therapy

We wholeheartedly believe that people are influenced by their past experiences; however, they do not determine our future. Our clinical vision is the center of our practice and allows us to support clients through their personal therapy journeys.

Group Therapy

At Abundant Growth we strive to provide a safe environment for clients to share their experiences in a group or class setting. Groups and classes are intended to provide guidance, support, community, and educational resources. Please stay tuned for upcoming groups.

Supervision

We are excited to provide clinical supervision services for those working toward licensure. At our practice, we are dedicated to fostering the growth of emerging professionals. We offer both individual and group supervision sessions to help you refine your clinical skills, strengthen your theoretical framework, uphold ethical standards, and build your confidence as a professional. Steps to Starting Therapy Services
1.
Schedule Free 15-Minute Consultation Call

We will begin our work together with a 15-minute initial phone consultation. The purpose of this consultation is for you to share a bit about what you’d like to work on in therapy. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about your provider, their approach to therapy, fees, and scheduling. At the end of the consultation, the provider will provide suggestions for the next steps, and if it is a good fit, the intake session can be scheduled.

2.
Intake Documents

Using the SimplePractice Client Portal, you will be sent an intake packet to complete before your first session. The packet includes a welcome document outlining Abundant Growth Counseling’s practice policies, consent forms, and a few questionnaires for you to complete. It is necessary that you complete these forms before your first appointment so that your provider has sufficient time to review them in advance of our meeting.

3.
Initial Assessment

In the initial session, you will have the space to share more about your background, concerns, and goals for treatment. Your provider will also ask you a series of structured questions to gain a better understanding of your needs.

A good therapeutic relationship is a major element of treatment success. During this session, your provider will also further assess if it is a good fit. If your needs do not align with their expertise, they will help connect you with another provider in the community who is better suited to help.

At the end of the initial assessment session(s), they will share their impressions and treatment recommendations. If you decide to continue to work together, they will put together a personalized treatment plan and schedule regular ongoing sessions.

4.
Ongoing Therapy Sessions

Ongoing therapy sessions are 55 minutes long and typically occur once weekly. Your therapist will work with you to decide together on a course of treatment and will discuss how long that is likely to take. We believe it is important to continuously monitor progress toward your goals and reevaluate treatment duration if necessary. For this reason, we will occasionally ask you to complete a symptoms questionnaire to monitor progress and ensure that our therapy is providing the change you desire.

You will also have the option of scheduling appointments online through our SimplePractice Client Portal—this feature allows you to see all available time slots and request appointments as needed.
